Set on John Lewis’ incredible rooftop we gave customers the chance to experience popular films in 8K on Samsung’s 82” QLED TV.

Following sold out screenings of the first series this has become a staple summer event for JL.

Challenge

Showcase the flagship 8K QLED TV range to John Lewis customers. Using the iconic John Lewis rooftop in the heart of Oxford Street as part of their summertime activity.

Insight

Consumers don’t understand picture quality difference across the TV ranges. Lack of 4K content to demonstrate this.

Solution

We created Samsung’s Sunset Cinema, a ticketed event featuring classic films shown in incredible 4K within a magical rooftop setting. A minimalist set blended seamlessly into John Lewis’ rooftop design and made sure Samsung’s screen was the star of the show. Wireless headphones were given to guests to make the experience truly immersive.

Result

Six out of seven events sold out, 165 attendees, 100k+ social media impressions.
