We are an independent brand experience agency founded in 2001. We specialise in delivering integrated experiential-led marketing campaigns (both digitally and physically) that deliver tangible results for our clients.

EXPERIENTIAL MARKETING

Our experiential campaigns take many forms, but memorable live interactions with potential consumers are always at the core.

Taking a strategic approach to targeting a brand’s potential customers we’ve delivered a variety of activations including- retail store events, festival sites, shopping mall tours, product training roadshows, conferences and launch parties.


VIDEO AND SOCIAL CONTENT

Engaging and relevant branded video content can be a powerful tool to spread your message to a mass audience.

Whether it’s a reportage film of your campaign or bespoke social content we support from initial concept through to post-production and distribution. We specialise in creating branded video content for all social media channels including vertical video. We believe content should be channel specific and therefore optimised to ensure maximum engagement.

CHRIS LLOYD

Creative Director

Chris has been a creative in the experiential industry for over 15 years and now heads up our creative department.

In that time he has creatively led many brand activations, experiences and events from The Vodafone ‘Future Ready’ conference with the UK’s first 5G Live Hologram call, to the Vodafone Drone Academy at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2018, the World Class Finals 2017 in Mexico City, to the UEFA Euro 2016 Trophy Tour, and the BT Sport Fan Zone @ Champions League Final 2017.

On top of that he has created many music and festival activations for the likes of Smirnoff, Strongbow, Old Mout Cider and Nokia, that have taken place in such iconic venues as the O2, Alexandra Palace and Earls Court, and have rocked many major UK festivals including V, Bestival, Isle of Wight, Festival No.6, Standon Calling & Reading&Leeds.

EMMA SHEPPARD

Human Resources

Emma, a Chartered Member of the CIPD, has over 15 years’ experience in HR and training and development.

She is hugely enthusiastic about all aspects of working with people and aims to create positive and innovative people management improvements.  Emma believes that human resources is not just about the policies and documentation but includes the ability to give strategic advice to senior management and coach line managers on day-to-day HR issues.

Emma joins Undercurrent as a director of her own business, where she aims to add value to her clients and show how instrumental HR can be by reducing pressure on the team, so they know they can devote their time and energies into the operations of their business.

STUART BELLETT

Finance Manager

Stuart joined Undercurrent from the world of corporate finance and rock’n’roll management in equal measure. From auditing books for businesses such as Toni & Guy to keeping the likes of the Sugar Babes (yes all of them) and Stella McCartney in order, Stuart has over 20 years’ experience in the sector.

Working with the Undercurrent team since the early years, Stuart works hard to drive cost efficiencies for our clients and ensure smooth delivery of our campaigns. Despite running a tight ship, Stuart is a team player who always looks for was to make impossible tasks possible.

SOPHIE FARNHAM

Senior Account Director

Sophie has been with Undercurrent for the past 10 years and is our longest standing employee. She brings considerable experience in project planning and budgetary management to the team, having previously worked across a variety of sectors leading roadshows, activations, launches, showcases and events.

Leading our account team to manage global tech and retail clients Sophie has developed specific skills in the development and delivery of bespoke campaigns across the product launch lifecycle. Working with clients like Samsung, TK Maxx, and Carphone Warehouse to deliver integrated launch campaigns that stretch from the B2B sales and training phase through to the consumer on the high street.

Recently Sophie has delivered TK Maxx’s experiential strategy, launching the Oxford Street store and supporting customer engagement events to drive footfall.

DAMIAN CLARKE

CEO

With over 25 years of agency experience, Damian has worked across technology, entertainment, telco and FMCG clients. A true believer in the power of live experiences Damian inspires the team to push boundaries and create innovative experiential campaigns that strike a chord with consumers.

Damian’s experience in live communications is second to none. Having worked with a variety of different brands throughout his career, he still feels an unbounded passion for producing strong strategic work coupled with fantastic creative to really engage with customers.

Having worked with such diverse clients as Sony PlayStation, Samsung, Live Nation and TK Maxx, he fully understands what brands need to do in order to present an engaging message to a live audience.

NICOLE BUCKLEY

Chief Operating Officer

Nicole has considerable experience across the retail technology sector working on the launch of Best Buy UK and its subsequent merger with Carphone Warehouse.

Nicole initially joined Undercurrent as an Account Director managing the experiential delivery of Samsung’s device launches within network channels. Instrumental in developing the B2B launch strategy for the highly successful S6 device that became a blueprint for further launches.

Nicole progressed quickly to Operations Director where she works closely with the team to strengthen and build relationships with our clients and suppliers alike. Streamlining operations to cut out unnecessary processes and ensure efficient delivery for our clients.

Achieving sustained company growth since Nicole joined the team, she has expertly managed our agency’s expansion in all areas. Including overseeing senior hires to service our new client wins, sourcing and designing a new office space, and the roll out of an employee benefits scheme.

SEGUN MALOMO

Head of Tech and Innovation

Segun is our resident tech expert, with a varied career working across film distribution, app creation and experiential marketing. Segun brings with him a breadth of experience and passion for creative technologies. Immersed in the world of technology, Segun keeps our clients up to date with the latest innovations and how to work them into cutting edge campaign ideas. There’s not many brands he doesn’t relate to or get excited about.

He’s a proven strategic thinker with fastidious execution whose campaigns deliver strong ROI. Applying innovative, immersive and creative methods to drive engagement and extend campaign reach online.

In the past year Segun has delivered- an immersive light arch at The O2 for the launch of their ‘Follow the Rabbit’ campaign, bespoke app build for HP and Intel’s 10th Generation campaign, 4D VR content for Samsung, and an interactive retail display using animatronic butterflies at Samsung’s flagship King’s Cross space.

HILARY BRADLEY

Senior Account Director

Hilary has been part of the experiential sector for over 12 years working in both the UK and Australasia. Working with clients at a senior level she has a breadth of experience in developing integrated experiential led campaigns from the creative process through to final delivery.

Hilary has managed multiple accounts across technology, music, and charity sectors. With highly developed project management skills she has a track record of skilfully bringing out of the box ideas to life, including the WWF Nature Phone Box and O2 Follow the Rabbit.

Passionate about experiential and its role to play in the marketing mix, Hilary ensures that there is always a clear focus on measuring campaign results and proving ROI. By developing strategic results-led client partnerships Hilary has fostered many long standing 5+ year client relationships.
