To throw a Christmas party at the Talk Talk HQ, completely
transforming their canteen from a functional space they use every
day to a magical party venue that feels unique and special.
They wanted us to decide on a theme and implement it, complete
with entertainment, full AV, catering, decoration, staffing,
logistics and creative.
We created a magical winter forest on the ground floor of the
TalkTalk HQ, installing and flocking 50 real Christmas trees, snow
effect windows, carefully designed lighting, beautiful poseur table
centre pieces, and a large stage where the main entertainment would
take place.
As TalkTalk sponsor the XFactor, they were able to secure
performances from the boy band One Direction, and the competition's
runner up Rebecca Ferguson.
In the second room we created a small staging area with screen
and PA for games of Singstar, and between XFactor sets we had
Guilty Pleasures DJ Nippy Neil, and the fantastic Kandi Kane as
comedic compare.
In the outside space we installed an ice rink, and had
traditional mulled wine being served to the skaters who braved the
snow. (Real snow - although had it not come we had a fake snow
machine on standby!)
Most importantly, everyone had a great time. The evening was
crammed full of entertainment, with Singstar and ice skating, a
great compare, and of course two amazing XFactor performances.
But the biggest success was the transformation of a space the
TalkTalk staff use everyday into a magical room that felt like a
totally unique venue, and ensured that the evening felt like a real
reward for another years hard work.
