Samsung Galaxy Fest - June 2011

 The brief

Manage Samsung's presence at the annual CPW One Team Conference. This year, Samsung had opted for one of the three largest and best placed stands, and asked Undercurrent to manage all production within this space.

The stands focus was on the Samsung Galaxy family of handsets, and the creative concept of the stand must embrace all handsets under a clear single coherent theme, that stands out from the rest of the manufacturers and is both engaging and exciting for delegates.

Our response

We created Galaxy Fest, a mini festival with the following elements:

  • Branded DJ booth
  • Two large festival screens
  • Bespoke branded smoothie bar
  • Four festival style stalls - one for each of the key product messages
  • Plenty of festival style seating
  • A perspex tube full of wellies (as you do)
  • Bespoke festival lanyards
  • More bespoke festival style branding than you could shake a stick out

We followed the festival theme right through every element of the stand, from the staff costume (branded t-shirts paired with shorts, flip-flops or wellies, straw hats etc) to the graphics and footage on the large format festival screens which showed scenes from major festivals behind information on Galaxy Fest's line up of big acts - the handsets themselves.

Outcome

The stand was consistently busy, with delegates interacting with both the well briefed promo staff and the Samsung trainers.

We served over 1000 bespoke branded smoothies, and just under 1000 Samsung Galaxy Fest  lanyards.

Delegates fully engaged with the stand, and we had several other suppliers taking pictures of it with a look of awe and envy etched on their little faces.
