Hamming It Up At The Appys

Forget the Grammy's. Forget the BAFTA's. Hell, you can
even forget the flippin Oscars - there's a new awards train
rolling into town and not only is it cruising in on rails of
technology and glamour, it's driven by everyone's favourite pint
sized presenter, Richard 'The Hamster' Hammond.
It's the Appys - the first and only awards ceremony dedicated to
Apps, and it's brought to us by our friends at The Carphone
Warehouse.
The awards celebrate the best apps in every field, from games to
sports to time savers to time wasters, with a shortlist of 5 voted
for by a panel of expert judges, and of course Rick Hamm
himself.
But don't just take my word for it guys, here's the
Hammsternator himself with a short explanation. Well he could
hardly give a tall one could he.
So that's the appy's, but where does Undercurrent come in? Well,
last week we got a frantic call from a well known PR agency saying
they needed a prop for an Appys press shoot, so within 48hours we'd
delivered a giant mobile phone, and Ricky Hammhand was able to
'work it like it was hot', and they got some great snaps.
The event itself will be great, and the awards are a thoroughly
